Yes, you can leave with dignity, you tried. But I guess I would not have chosen to leave, but to change the locks on the door the very Friday she is meeting him for intimacy.

Why do you have to leave and lose your home and kids, if she is the one who wants out? Why will she enjoy no change in her life, other than that she can now invite her lover-boy over and introduce him to the kids, while you have to shop around for a place to live and content yourself with talking to the kids over the phone?
Moving out would not have been my choice.
