Susan- I need to respectfully add that, yes, I don't make alot of money($12/hr) but I don't think my kids have suffered from my lack of action. They have always had what they needed and most of what they wanted. I use my entire paycheck for them as well as all the child support and all of the alimony(except for $ I saved out of the alimony). I don't buy anything for myself because I know I don't deserve it,my paycheck isn't big enough for extras for me. I 'm not complaining though, seeing my kids happy makes up for it! +++++++++++++
I stand by what I said. Your kids have "suffered" by your actions of not geting the full amount due from their father. If you don't think growing up, watching your mom do without, so you have a good life isn't hard on kids, you're wrong.
You had a duty to collect that money, to improve your lifestyle, or to build a savings so you aren't in the spot you're in now. I hope you will NOT allow your ex-H to get away with this any longer.
++++++++++ I plan on e-mailing my x-hubby and letting him know that from now on I will be mailing him reciepts for all extras and activities. He will have to pay me back half or I will consult a lawyer. He might think it is just an empty threat but I don't care, I will do it!! ++++++++++++
Good for you! I hope you follow through. I'd include the wording from you CO. Tell him that in the past, you were receiving alimony so you didn't have a "need" to ask him to follow the court order. But now that alimony has ended, you will no longer be able to afford to cover the expenses that he should be covering.
