non payment of alimony

for Michigan, stated in our judgement and divorce payers 2003 that I would receive alimony for 10 yrs, my x stop paying close to 2yrs ago, now he is takening me to court to terminate support, saying he has no money to pay, wouldn't by law my x still have to pay back support even if he gets alimony terminated or reduced?
