Hi
Am hoping to have a pretty amicable divorce, have decided to go with a mediator.
The only problem is that my STBX found e-mails that were written between me and another man (not my proudest moment to say the least...) and is now threatening to use them if I go after him for spousal support.
We have been married for 15 years and have one son - 7 years old.
I have been a stay-at-home Mom since our son was born with a P/T job that pays $6,000/yr - he makes approx. $85,000/yr.
We have not had a "real" marriage in over 3 years (which he accepts responsibility for). And this other man has nothing to do with why we are separating and wasn't even in the picture until recently.
Do I try for spousal support? How bad can the e-mails hurt me if he does use them? What are the morality laws with regard to spousal support?
I feel like he may be using my guilt to manipulate me...
Thanks!
