Why are you playing games about picking up phone, not picking up phone? In my opinion he is contacting you out of guilt - he will find someone new, otherwise he would have come back by now. Don't not pick up the phone in the hope he will realise what he is missing, don't pick up the phone because you don't want to speak to him! really i think this, hope it doesn't sound mean.
