help--i think i'm gonna get scr--d!

So here goes,short and sweet. I left my husband one year ago. I have lived on my on since then. I have taken nothing from him financially or otherwise. Now I have a lawyer and things are going to get nasty I have a feeling. My STBX says I get nothing because I brought nothing monetary into the marriage. However, for the past 2 years, we have gotten back over 20,000 dollars on our taxes because of my business and his claiming my children. We have nothing joint except a house. My name is on the deed but not the mortgage. Am I entitled to anything? I have worked for all 4 years during the marriage, except for one year when I took full care of his disabled mother (which included changing diapers, bathing, etc.). I know there is equity in the home, am I entitled to half of that even if I had no money of my own put into it?
