Wait a minute, just with CS she will have income of $42K. The poverty level for 3 people (BM and 2 kids) is $16,600. How is that anywhere NEAR friggin poverty level. It's 153% ABOVE poverty level. Geat REAL. PLUS, $17K of that is TAX FREE. ++++++++++
I think you are wrong on your CS amount.
++++++++++++ You said $25K alimony for 5 years in a 10 year marriage. She won't get that. I had $10K a year alimony, for 4 years, in a 10K marriage and I made $150,000 at the time. And that was to a SAHM.
And no, I don't think $125K is fair to him for her taking care of kids. He already PAID for their care..AND HER's.. +++++++++
Then your ex didn't get a very good deal. Judging by your words, you obviously have no concept of marriage, and career sacrifice and the real COST to a person who puts their career on hold for the better of the family/spouse.
Afterall, alimony is not about "paying" your spouse for "services rendered", it's about getting each spouse on a level, economic playing field after a divorce.
