Do you gossip?

Just curious? You never gossip? Or is it that your children of an age where you and other adults have time when they are not around?

I was out watching the boys ride their bikes this afternoon and my neighbor (who, recently, was rushed to the hospital) walked out... While, I was finding out how she was feeling, two other children and their mothers came along... two dads on their way home from work stopped in their cars..

I found out that the mom down the street had cosmetic surgery; that the block party is on for Monday but one neighbor isn't coming because she isn't talking to another neighbor.. One of the dads bought a dog for his son's birthday but hasn't told his wife yet because he is SO going to be in trouble AND the car that the other neighbor has been driving is just a rental because she was in an accident... It all took about 6minutes..

None of the kids could tell you what we talked about.. if they get too close, sometimes we talk in code or just tell them to go away...

I have to admit that I am not a malicious person.. I have never used bad language out loud.. Most of what we discuss is "G"-rated... But I do talk about my ex and lack of money and other issues that I wouldn't want the children to overhear or worry about...

It must work because in the three years that forensics, CPS, and GAL have been involved in our lives the kids have been ignorant of any issues on my side...
