His masters degree is a asset that will generate income for the rest of his working life. It is ashame she is only entitled to rehabilitative alimony, because she helped him get that degree. If the system were just, it would either require him to compensate her for half its expected value or give her some permanent income. He would have nothing to complain about if he had to pay what Susanf discribed.
