If it can't be done, then explain my marriage to me and the fact that it's still successful going on to it's 9th year? We both work FT, we both have pursued, are pusuing advanced degrees, at one point we both travelled, and now just my wife does. It can be done, we do it. Just because others choose not to take on the challenges, that encompass it, please don't tell me it can't be done, and you can't succesffully raise a well adjusted child, because that's exactly what has been done.
I understand the notion of partnership completely fine. I also understand the idea of being responsible for one's stability and success and not blaming your partner for lack of ability or opportunity in life. No one in this life lacks for education just because of their partner. They make decisions, be it prior to marriage or afterwards that they have to accept a portion of responsibility for, and not state that it was because of others than they're in the position that they are at the moment.
