That is NOT the aim of Indiana's temporary maintenence statute . Stop pulling numbers out of your ass , you are not helping . OP is better off asking for a disproportionate share of the marital assets as it's an equitable distribution state . +++++++
Google dad, have you ever BEEN a CP of kids? I don't think so. Getting more home equity or a larger portion of the 401k would not have helped me month to month the way alimony did.
The woman needs alimony to help her get by until her income increases to the point of self-sufficiency.
