In one sentence you say "we" paid the lawyer 3k, and then in two more places you say "her" lawyer. Having been in a similar situation myself I have to say that you should either
A) have the lawyer working for YOU and not HER - you paid the bill out of your 100k salary I'm assuming, so she should be working for YOU.
B) Get your own attorney ASAP. You are already disagreeing with your wife about living in the marital home, and she is telling you that her lawyer is working on kicking you out. Trusting that a lawyer, who is working for your wifes best interests, is going to come up with a proposal that is fair to YOU is foolhardy to say the least.
You really should get your own counsel - between your salary, her lack of (a livable) one, custody issues, and other settlement issues, you are setting yourself up to get screwed. All in the name of being amicable, which is an honorable and mature approach, but not terribly realistic.
Are you prepared to take that chance?
