Thanks again for helping, all of you have helped more than you know. I don't see how people can do this without help like this and you all are very appreciated.
To answer some of Phoenix' questions:
"Are you saying that you don’t know yet if this is a contested or uncontested divorce???"
Answer - I guess I do not know. I don't know much about divorce. Hoping for uncontested, but was afraid a court order to kick me out of my home was a contested divorce. I explained to her I would leave as soon as we settle and we have our own bank accounts. She said I need to leave because it just isn't right that I stay and unhealthy for the kids. I explained that I think a short transition period would be very helpful. I travel a lot for work and work many hours so I would not be here that much. Thanks for the idea of getting away for weekends. She did that this weekend with 2 of the 3 kids which actually violates the court order filing papers to not remove kids from jurisdiction of court. Its only a weekend, but I am a good enough parent to keep the 8 year old. We did have a great time being together for 4 days and I am proud of that.
"Have you presented your version of a stipulation of settlement?"
Answer - No my lawyer's strategy was to get her's first.
"Your posting makes it sound like custody is being contested???"
Answer - I don't think there will be an issue with that, but I do not know her proposal for anything. Still in the dark.
I know I am nice and this is a stupid question, but why would anybody want to unfairly do something and get more than what's fair? Life is just to short to fight.
Since I am totally in the dark on this stuff, I am sure I will be asking more questions and let you all know what happens.
