If you have not settled anything in the next 9days then yes, she will be filing contested on the claims for child custody, child support, alimony, or property division. Contested means that there is no agreement…
yes, the give and take is normal in settlement conferences... in my case, they were scheduled once a month and lasted all day... It was kinda like root canal but worse..
"The only thing I can think of that she might not understand..."
Ahhh... This brings back memories... bad ones... but memories non the less...
My ex's mantra was always about what I didn't understand...
You are very insightful to realize that is the crux of the matter..
Unrealistic expectations and unscrupulous lawyers are what caused the hundreds of thousands of dollars to be paid out to lawyers in my case..
You have shown to have wisdom... The question comes down to whether the delta between her understanding and your needs is big enough to fight over...
On one hand, you don't want the cost, the animosity, and the stress that a court battle will cause...
On the other... I take it that buyer's remorse $ucks given how bad some posters on this board feel... You are the only one who will be able to decide if whatever settlement she offers is something you can live with..
