It's really, really hard to explain, but I can totally empathize with JustMeAndThree ("JMAT") about why she cares that her STBX is sneaking around. It's a betrayal at such a deep level that emotionally, we do care. I found out that my ex has been cheating and my logic knows that it doesn't change a thing about our divorce....but my heart still hurts. I don't want him back and don't necessarily begrudge him an opportunity to find love and happiness again, but it's a grieving process that we have to go through - and for me (and possibly others), it comes out in anger and frustration and definitely hurt feelings.
I sometimes feel that posting as JMAT did - I'll get my anger out and someone will find some brilliant words to help me with an epiphany where I won't feel so sad, angered, hurt, betrayed....and yet, again, I know that I just have to go through the process and do the best I can.
