First of all welcome to the "false accusation" club. It happens a lot of times during divorce. One person needs to make excuses for why the marriage failed so they put the blame on the other person. I'm not saying there aren't sometimes valid reasons and sometimes the other person does it to take the focus off of them.

Second of all if you are in a relationship or marriage where you feel the need to "check up" on the person then it's the wrong relationship. Without trust it's doomed. I'm not saying you haven't had reason to doubt him BUT if that's the case you shouldn't have been with him to begin with.

What he's doing or saying now isn't really your concern. You're no longer together. I'm sure it's painful to read that he's scoping out new possibilities but since you obviously don't belong together look at it as a blessing in disguise.

You're quite right. Thought when we got together I did trust him, it wasn't until we'd been married 4 years when I started finding little things like the picture of another woman in his glove box (I found this when I went to drive his car and couldn't find the clip for the car seat) etc. That's when I Started checking and I supposed it's just become habit now, albeit a bad one. But you're right it isn't my business, old habits dye hard though I guess and curiosity killed the cat..and so on.
