Well i've never found evidence of alcohol or drugs since we've been together. He did have a drinking problem according to him before we met. He hasn't hardly had 2 sips of alcohol since i've known him. I've been keeping a journal of everything he says and does concerning me and the kids. I don't however have a lawyer, I can't afford any of the ones around here. I'm doing my divorce pro se. I'm scared to request an evaluation of him becuase of his track record. He threatened/attempted suicide in Nov 2005 during deployment in guam. The Military didn't even recommend counseling just said he was fine and wouldn't do it again. They did send him for a further eval with a shrink, who upon my husbands word that everything was fine (becuase he intentionally left out details) concluded that he didn't need anything further. He knows how to "play the system" and I'm afraid that if I open that can of worms it will come back to bite me becuase *I* HAVE been through counseling and I'm currently on anti-dep. and anti-anxiety medication. I don't want him coming out smelling like a rose and making me out to be a mental-case. I don't know how he could do that but I'm just afraid of make the wrong decisions. I do know that he has the tendancie to get "addicted" to certain things: pornography, lottery tickets, slot machines...not a DEEP addiction but one non the less
