Now I know where he REALLY stands....

Well after filing papers, I got the stbx's answer. The ONLY things he contested had to with money. He didn't contest the custody arrangements, visitation schedule, property division etc. All he contested was child support. I knew he would though... as most of you know I asked support for my oldest becuase he signed the affidavit of paternity and has been acting as her real father. Well he contested that saying "on the part of child support for the children I must disagree. So and so (HIS last name) is not my birth or adopted child. My exwife signed my name to the birth certificate" <-- i find that funny because he uses the last name HE gave her. Then he goes to say that *I* signed his name to BC. I have a copy of the original AOP with HIS signature witnessed by a notary. If I get support great, if not whatever...I think he's an idiot. Then he goes on to contest that I kept the tax return which we all knew he would. But then he goes on to say "Also on the matter of child support, my wife file my taxes after she moved out. So and so did without my consent have $XXX put into her account which she has spent and is now asking for more money. Ok problem 1: I filed 4 days before I moved out (though I know they could show intent or something) prob. 2: He makes it sound like the entire amount was HIS only. I worked for the last half of last year and the BULK of that money came from claiming child tax credit, earned income credit and child care that *I* paid ALL of. Then he goes to say that now I'm asking for more money. Like becuase I kept the tax return i'm not supposed to get ANYTHING for the kids. I plan to tell the judge that since I paid off a joint debt (that was in HIS name) and that after that amount is taken off I'll pay him back half of what was left. But I am also going to argue that every year we have filed taxes 2gether and *I* have been the one to file them. (I have copies of taxes from every year we were married) Also I have evidence that he has in the past taken my bank cards checks etc and denied me access to money and vehicles. We don't have a court date yet. But the fact that he made a handwritten answer himself tells me that is a large possibility he does NOT have the lawyer he spouts off about. I've come to realize that his whole attitude is "I want em but don't wanna pay for him" he's gotten mad when i stopped sending diapers and he had to buy them...he complains that they don't have clothes there (i left a large black trash bag full and send an extra outfit everytime they go) so instead of just buying them some clothes for his house he chews me out. He only wants them when it's convenient for him.
