In some cases...it's an entire day of waiting. It was like a cattle call at my court. I could see it extending into the afternoon (after the court's lengthy lunch recess) for some.

Actually, in GA, where there is no legal separation status, you can draw up your own separation agreement and have it notarized, and it's considered a legal contract. It's primarily done to set out the pre-divorce financial stipulations.
