Hi PR,
I have to agree that these questions are important, as I found out in dating someone who was not very up front with me.
1) What do you do for a living? He told me he had his own landscaping business, it turns out he took care of two yards. His main source of income at 40 years old was delivering pizzas. It took me several months to figure this one out.
2) Are you financially independent? See #1...
3) What kind of car do you drive? It doesn't matter to me what kind of car someone drives. But, again see #1... When his car broke down, he wanted to borrow mine. Ugh! They have to have a working vehicle and can't ever ask to borrow mine.
4) What neighborhood do you live in? He was renting a house that he could not afford. Mind you, it was not even a nice house, which I overlooked, because it didn't matter. When I found out (and not by him), that at 40 he'd only just recently moved from his mother's house, for the first time ever, I grew very suspicious. He lost the rental house and moved back in with mom. He hinted over and over about moving in with me. That was just never going to happen!
5) What are you going to buy me? I never even went there...
