It is very necessary to make a simple point. Between the age of 17 and 37 while I was going through all the same crap ( with a heck of a lot less self pity ) I was providing a lifestyle for three other people. I had all the responsibility, and I suffered all the headaches that go along with it, but I had to share authority with my ex...
But then along comes divorce, and the law says " So what if you had all the responsibility and NOT the perq of all the authority, so what if you provided 80% of the assets for three other people's lifestyle, now you only get 50 % of of the accumulated assets, plus you have to pay alimony for the person who DID NOT HAVE THE HEADACHE OF RESPONSIBILITY NOR HAVE TO WORK AND BRING IN THE MONEY.
That is not fair at all. Total ripoff plain and simple.
