It's been very difficult. The therapist doesn't accept insurance, so what's left after paying her cash is enough for one can of soup per day -- 260-280 calories a day. I've lost 30 lbs, and the starvation-diet is affecting my mental acuity at times. Even North Koreans eat a better diet.

I go weeks at a time without any contact or conversation with a human being. The only person who ever calls is my attorney. I don't have enough gas money to travel anywhere to visit, and all of my "friends" were also my wife's friends, and they have stopped any interaction with me. The loneliness overwhelms me at every day.

The therapist agrees with my doctor, state caseworker, and attorney that my wife's actions constitute continuing emotional abuse. This abuse will be raised in the October hearing, specifically citing parental alienation, denial of access to or communications with my daughter, using her control of our marital finances to pressure me, and using the physical distance between us (200 miles) to obstruct visitation with my daughter.

The day after we filed the motions against her, she "suddenly" agreed to effect reconciliation with my daughter through a counselor, but this has taken weeks and I still haven't seen my daughter for 95 days. My wife also "suddenly" began providing me with information concerning my daughter's health, education, and welfare. It's sad that it took filing these motions to get my wife to "suddenly" begin to at least partially comply with the laws of Missouri, but she continues to defy other laws, that will be discussed at the hearing.

Her continued emotional abuse has me at extreme lows, which I'm sure was her intent. If I hadn't been able to sell that piece of equipment, I would be totally without money or food. And the vehicle registration expires Monday, which she has not renewed -- potentially leaving me without transportation again. Only she can do this, as it is registered in her name.

She asked me July 15th to obtain a bid from a certain individual for the working part of the farm. I met with him 8 times, and also realtors and farm experts. He met with his banker and FSA representative, both of whom took the time to physically inspect the land parcel to assess its value. He made a fair formal land offer -- which my wife rejected without even looking at. She apparently learned that I want to keep the farmhouse, as I would otherwise be homeless; there is no available public housing for 18 months (I am on the waiting list.) So she wasted a lot of people's time fulfilling a request that she herself asked for. The next day, she reneged on her agreement to maintain the financial status quo, showing once again that her word -- written or otherwise -- is worthless.

I admit that her abuse is wearing me down, and I am still living day by day, minute by minute, hoping for relief from the Oct. 4th hearing.

At least I am mostly sleeping well. It is the only part of the day that I look forward to.
