Ridiculous child support

I will have shared custody with my future former husband. I have just started a new job which pays me double what my future former husband makes. I have worked hard the past 5 years to be able to afford to leave him. Especially considering I do not have a college degree and my future former does. Now, even with shared custody I am going to have to pay 1500 a month. This is going to make it VERY hard to make ends meet. My ex on the other hand is keeping the house and his parents are buying me out of the equity because he can't get a different place because of his job situation.
Aren't there limits for support in kansas when custody is shared?
