Help me to understand?

My wife and I have been seperated and going through the divorce process for some months now and she has continued to have a protection order against me and now all of a sudden out of the blue she text messages my phone yesterday saying that she didn't see me at work. This makes me feel good but not sure how to take that. We texted back and forth a little then I let her go. My ? is why would she do this? I am worried about becoming to excited that things could be finally going in the direction that I have wanted and then getting my feelings stomped on again. Maybe she is just trying to keep me on a string dont know. Not sure what to do about this any advice would be helpful.
