Re: STOLEN BLIND AND NOT A THING I CAN DO

I agree... your EX is evil and your post makes me want to slap her. What a biotch.

I also agree with relayer... go to another attorney and get moviing on this. You may not get the items she could have to compensate in $$. As far S$ at salvage rate... why would that be? She dissipated some of your assets... what in that makes them less valuable?

I know this does not help you, but it may help someone else. Anyone else in a similiar position, get those posessions asap. If you are denied access, go to court and get a court order and show up with a cop or deputy.

My ex and I actually came to agreement on possessions fairly quickly (it was pensions, 401's etc that held things up). He got most of his stuff out but over a long period of time and only at my urging him to do so. He is the one who wanted the divorce and he moved out the same day he told me he wanted the divorce. Some things he left there to the very last day we had posession after it sold. I guess in spite of all the hate he felt toward me after settlement he trusted me enough not to destroy his stuff. Or, maybe he hoped I would, or would take it. Then he would have had a reason to take me to court for contempt of the court order.

Isnt' that what happened in your case, contempt of the CO?? I personally think that would be worth going to court over.
