Pops, the scenario I gave was just an example. Your d-mn right that I would have loan paperwork to memorialize our agreement that it is a loan. The former co-worker that used to work for the IRS said a verbal agreement is enough but you and I both know that verbal isn't enough in courts they want hard documentation. What I'm hoping to do is put the monkey on my STBX's back by making STBX prove the money they received for payment of the credit card(s) was a loan and not a gift. I was looking at the RCW and I stand corrected on if gifts are included in the gross net monthly income but they have to be disclosed. So my thinking is that if I can convince the court that STBX has more then enough assets it may be worth a try to use during the CS calculation (if any is granted) and if SS is to continue.
