Jenyphur, I dont think Pops meant it the way you took it at all. But, my kids know when they get in trouble at school, it is reinforced at home. Should they ever disrespect a teacher (ie, arguing, misbehaving, etc...), they know on top of the punishment at school, they will get punished at home as well. Some parents disagree with that. Why punish them 2X for one mess up? KWIM? But, IMHO, if parents and schools work together, it goes alot more smoothly. Thank gooness the worse thing my DS8 has done so far in school was talking without raising his hand, but I am sure it is coming. LOL. Kids cant be good all the time.
