She actually didn't 'argue' with the teacher, the teacher got mad at her for talking in class and then later that day the same thing. What she did was ask why she was getting in trouble when others were also talking at the same time as she was. So...she didn't argue with her but she definitely talked back. This happened early last week and we had a long talk about respect, etc. She had already been grounded for one evening from tv, computer because of the slip that was sent home. So..she wasn't really worried about me being mad at her...I was already over it by then.
