You seemed to have handled it appropriately. It is hard to know what punishment fits what crime sometimes. Or to understand the reasoning behind it. My DS8's principal called me a week or so ago and told me that because his bus driver had a problem with so many kids on the bus, which didnt include my son, all the kids from that bus in his school were going to have lunch detention. I asked her why my son was being punished for not misbehaving. She said it was just standard procedure. I told her real quick that if procedure was to punish behaving, straight A students, they had some thinking to do. Needless to say, he didnt get lunch detention.
