Having been married to a teacher at one time I would say it's probably not the kids that have him burned out but the parents. Not only do they want to know why Johnny is getting an B instead of an A, but how Fred could possibly be getting a D (it's because he doesn't do his homework, acts likea jack@ss in class and never shuts his mouth and because Mr Pops in Il can't give him an F thanks to "no child left behind" in case you're wondering) It's not up to the teacher to teach manners but on one occasion my x DID have to show a student how to eat with utensils because they didn't use them at home. (no lie!) Being a teacher is probably the most thankless (and underpaid) job there is whic his why if my kids get in trouble in school they get confronted by both the teacher and I!
