You are NOT an idiot. You are a person whose world maintained a “normal” orbit for over 20yrs. It has suddenly been knocked off its axis.

However, you do not have the luxury of crawling in your bed and pulling the covers over your head. You must pull yourself up by your big girl panties and be proactive in your future.

You need to replace your attorney. You wait six months; your case could be deemed on the “eve of trial”. At that point, the judge will NOT allow you to change attorneys.

OR you risk being held liable for unnecessarily extending the litigation (judges hate that) and it can be held against you at equitable distribution time…
