Re: STBX's lawyer

My STBx's lawyer asked for documentation on everything, to exceed three years and such. He even insisted on me providing him information that was freely available on the internet. Just a wrangling to try to cost me more money. My lawyer handed me the stack and told me to fill it out as I had time. I had served them with interrogatories about 18 months ago now and still haven't gotten any response. Theirs was returned to them in less than a month. But I was to the point on everything. If it was asking for something publicly available, I provided a link for him to download it himself. If it asked for anything exceptionally tedious that had no bearing on the financial status of the marriage, I declared so. Otherwise, I provided it.
Basically, if they have any problems with my answers, they'll file a motion to compel and need to explain to the judge why they need it. My income and debts are very simple and easy to understand. For those with a more dynamic financial life, the more intense questions may make sense.
