I think the time for unions has passed...

In the old days, the employers WERE taking advantage of the worker, but in MY opinion, all the union does today is keep the screw up on the job.
I was a member of IBEW, I was a member of AFGE, and I tell you that the MOB, in most large unions, is so firmly entrenched and the unions themselves are so corrupt, they have ceased to be a solution, and become part of the problem.
Look at the UAW. About the only place in the WORLD that a high school drop out can make $25/hr screwing on lug nuts. Then you wonder why a new car costs upwards of $40,000
