They haven't released very many details yet. But what they have says that in a town near here, two kids were with dad, there was a conversation between mom and dad that resulted in her requesting a welfare check.
The sheriff goes out, finds the two children seriously injured, shots are fired, it has been released dad is "down" but not if he is just injured or dead.
I hate when things like this happen...
