Well, glad THAT is over with. LOL. It didn't go as badly as I thought. He was very nice, and didn't ask hard questions at all. In fact, he said that since he didn't really know anything about me, to give him some background on my work history etc. Then the usual questions about what do I like best, least, etc. Does it bother me working after hours when there is a storm? No. Is there anything that has made me feel uncomfortable? Then, he asked if I had any questions, and I asked him what his expectations would be of the person who got the position. So he gave me a list, funny how "being here and being on time" are such a big thing. It makes me wonder how other people have been, were they sick/out a lot? Did they never get here on time? The only thing I was a little mad at myself for was that I said cool twice! UGH. But it was relative to the job, and how I thought it was cool how the system shows the outages going up and down. I tried to be confident and said I was "honored" to have had the opportunity to work here. (which is true, this job did fall in my lap). He asked what my expectations were of him, which threw me for a second. But I responded with having more dialogue with him, what could I do to help HIM and take admin things off his plate so his life is easier. He really is low maintenance, but the rest of the group can be needy, but that's ok. I love helping people, and if this gets me closer to my goal of doing more charity work, then so be it. Overall, I think it went well. Here's hoping things work out.
