Police disability pension
      08/05/08 07:44 AM

Hi guys heres my plight.
I'm a disabled retired police officer.
My divorce settlement agreement was messed up and now I have to return to court
I was divorced in 2004 and my x got her share of my pension base at 14.72 years. I didn't make my full 20 years because of an performance of duty injury, which rendered my disabled and I retired with 17.40 years. Though I get half pay, it is because of my disability. I spoke to an attorney and the issue is: would she be entitled to what I would be entitle to what I would get of an service retirement 17.25 years. or would she be entitle to my disability benefit pension? my Injury prevents me to work
and this would really screw me. Not to mention, that I now was given custody of my two children by my x because she was going to have them removed by child services.
