Actually, I think if the ruling was that you CANNOT move to Indiana, you have a good shot at appeal. I doubt many judges attempt to disallow moving, knowing this.
This is America after all. We're essentially free to go where we want to.
Commonly, you have a shot at appeal if the judge abused his discretion, or made a significant error. So, denying your freedom to move would be an abuse of discretion, I think very arguable.
Still, if you win, you'll only get the right to move, not the right to keep the same/similar parenting plan after you move. Most laws, and all the ones in my state, are very clear that you can move but the parenting plan can then be immediately contested...
Note that the attorney that you trust stands to make a lot MORE money if you appeal, win or lose. And losers of appeals (most appealers do lose) frequently to pay the opposition's legal fees too. So don't expect anyone you're listening to to DISCOURAGE you from appealing...
