Update: The mediation took 5 hours yesterday. We both had to give up some of our own wishes for the sake of our little one. But we came away with a workable solution:
* Dad has our son for 8 days this Christmas. Mom will travel with him to Germany. Dad will fly him back. We will alternate Christmases.
* Dad has our son for 7 weeks in the summers. Mom will travel with him to Germany. Dad will fly him back. Mom has a 5-day visit with son in Germany mid-way through the summer. Dad (and wife) will arrange for on-base therapy/services for our son that are similar to what he receives here.
* Dad can visit with son any time in the states, provided he gives 2 week notice. Overnights are permitted as long as they don't interfere with school.
* We give our son phone/webcam visits with the other parent twice per week.

Ex and I both agreed this was acceptable and had it drafted up. But the SM is angry, won't allow ex to sign, and is kicking it back to the mediator. She refuses to speak to me about it. Guess we'll see what tomorrow holds.
