Hi Kywave, I can't speak to whether or not he can realistically have you prosecuted for forging his name on the check, when the check was deposited into his account. With regard to the purchases that were made, I believe you have a strong case that you were acting as his authorized agent (ie. purchasing groceries, etc.). You could claim that you did it BECAUSE of his controlling and abusive nature, and therefore he, not you, are responsible.
The reality, is that abusive, manipulative individuals are people who think little of themselves, and feel that they need to manipulate or abuse others so that they can feel better about themselves. In your case, you need to see it for what it is: he is merely attempting to continue to control you.
