You didn't say anything about him getting physical at anytime. Sounds more like a guy who loves to complain and whine...for someone who calls a child a pu$$y, he's acting like a bigger one himself. So...call his bluff. Stand up to him. Tell him to STFU. Tell him if he has a problem with his son's behavior and cannot handle him out one day alone to not bother taking him anywhere. Tell him if he doesn't like something you say to deal with it. Tell him if you're such a F-in pig, why in hell did he bother to marry you.

You can do this and see who's really afraid, or you can grow a different kind of backbone and file for divorce. But if you stand up to him, you may find him filing and take care of your problem for you, or you may find him backing down and finding new respect in a woman he couldn't, like he thought he could, push around with words. That would be the ultimate win...if he woke up. But if he ultimately decides to hell with you, that still takes care of the problem of you finding the strength to file. He'll make the decision for the both of you. But YOU will find the respect for yourself in standing up for yourself, and for your kids.
