That was kind of hateful. What Cinder told you is the way it is. You have NO claim on the house before the marriage no matter how long you live there before you are married and your only claim after you are married would be equity earned during the marriage but understand that with the economy the house might possibly be worth less than it was when he bought it.
There is nothing you can do to keep yourself from being tossed out of the home before the marriage except that in some cases he might be required to give you notice to vacate much like if you rent a home.
Also if you want legal advice see a lawyer. We can only give you our opinion.
