marital home lost by foreclosure

My soon to be ex-husband intentionally & irresponsibly lost our marital home to foreclosure. I filed for legal separation in 2004, in part, to protect myself financially since he was abusing drugs and our finances. Now that we are getting close to finally divorcing, he has lost the home. He didn't make the payments for months and intentionally lost it because in his words he would rather file bankruptcy and lose the house than to ever let me have it or any part of it. That is exactly what he has done. I would like to know if anyone knows about the "Standard Family Law Restraining Orders" that are supposed to protect my share of our homes equity at the time of my filing for separation in 2004? Even though the house is lost now, can he be held responsible to pay me for it? Thanks
