You can file for emergency custody at your county clerks office. Try to have any documents to support your accusations. Because there is just a verbal custody issue, he or you can take the kids at any given time without the other parents knowledge. Trust me on this one. You don't have to have a lawyer to do this. If you feel your kids are in danger or you are concerned, when you file for emergency custody, and go before the referee or judge, you can request supervised visits.
