1. A quitclaim deed does NOT remove your financial responsibility for the mortgage, your wife would have to refinance the house in her name only.
2. If the cars are paid for, each of you sign the title for one giving it to the other, get new titles, you're done. If they still have loans on them, again, you both need to refinance in your own name to remove the other's name from the title.
3. CUT THAT CREDIT CARD AND CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. There's no need for a joint credit card if you're getting divorced. Ask the issuer to issue single accounts to both of you or close it down. You have no protection for that credit card being used by your wife.
4. You can file your taxes for tax year 2010 in whatever filing status the IRS gives that you fall under. For me, it's head of household. For my STBX, it's single.
There may be other stuff that you are overlooking, go through all your accounts again and make sure that there are no joint ones.
