My child never calls from her other parent's house

My daughter never calls me when she's at her dad's. When I ask her about this, she says she can't remember to call me. They're both 7. It breaks my heart that she doesn't call me. When I call her there, she's disinterested and I always feel worse after I've called because it seems like I'm completely out-of-sight out-of-mind for her.

Is it normal for a child to not want to talk to one parent while at the other's house?

Her dad won't be any help. I'm sure he gets pleasure out of her lack of interest in my calls.

I'd love to hear about other people's experiences.
