Well, if you were carrying on an affair using your work laptop, as your spouse, it would not be unreasonable for him to look for evidence on the laptop, including adding a keylogger.
By your response, I assume there WAS data about your affair on the laptop, and THAT may have been what got you fired.
And BTW, as a VICTIM of a cheater, and someone who has NEVER cheated on an SO, when you start down that path, you get what you deserve.
