You sound lonely, but in a healthy way.....if that makes any sense.

Sounds like you are over mourning the loss of the ex and that you have learned how to live a different life, but that you miss having a connection. That's human nature.

I believe that wanting, but not 'needing' someone to share your life with is the right emotional state to be in to look for a new love.

What activities are you interested in that might have opportunities to meet someone new ? Have you considered a Church or social singles group or internet dating site ?
