Hmmmmmm.Sometimes you never let go complettely, but it sounds to me you are going through something natural when a relationship dies. Your x is not because he hasn't hit that point of not being otherwise occupied. Think about why you saw him with "yet another woman". It sounds to me it's because the others have noticed those things you are talking about when you mention not really knowing him. Eventually he will run out of women to date because he will have either dated them all or the ones he hasn't will have friends he has. All he's doing is delaying the steps he needs to go through.
