Who wants the new house ?
Normally, a judge doesn't just 'give' one spouse a house.
All assets and debts are added up and divided. If one large asset was equal in value to ALL other assets, it could be divided equally that way......even though one spouse gets 'more' in number of items, it could be equal in general value. This is also a general response, assuming a goal of 'equal' division.
You should give more specific info.....like what state you are in, the values vs outstanding debt on any property, etc. Which property would each of you prefer to keep ? What other assets and debts offset that ?
I only know what I have read here, but I can tell you the more relevant info you give, the more specific answers the knowledgable posters here can give you.
