When you have been divorced for a long time

HI everyone! I am a newbie! I have been divorced for about 10 years now and I have a question regarding how certain things are handled or how people handle things. I will more than likely marry my bf and my ex has a gf with 4 kids. My ex and I have 1 daughter. Now if our daughter gets married and she has kids, do people have like two parties for the kid one with the dad's new side and one with the mom's new side?? This just occured to me since I think my ex will marry this girl. When my daughter and I speak of the ex and his new family we end up fighting and I was just wondering how people handle things like that. thanks for your opinions
